Up to 12b cm Gas to Be Injected to Oil Reserves by March 20

TEHRAN, July 03 (Shana) – Head of the Dispatching Unit in National Iranian Gas Company Abdolreza Ebrahimian says up to 12 billion cubic meters of gas will be injected to oil reserves by March 20, marking end of the current Iranian calendar year of 1395.

Ebrahimian said in 86 days of this year, 3.2 billion cubic meters of gas were injected to Aghajari oil fields.

He said on the average, 36.7 million cubic meters of gas were daily injected to the reserves.

He added that the NIGC was committed to inject 31.6 million cubic meters of gas but regarding increase in production in South Pars oil field, increase in the injection has been made possible.

He emphasized that regarding the policy of the Ministry of Petroleum and National Iranian Gas Company for maintaining oil wells and fields and also regarding the need for injection of more gas to the fields to extract more oil, increase in injection of gas to the oil fields has been put on agenda.

The official also pointed to injection of sweet gas to oil reserves and said in 86 days this year, 16 million cubic meters of gas were injected daily on the average to Karanj and Kupal reserves and on the whole, 40 million cubic meters increase in the injection is observed compared to the figure in the same period the previous year.

Ebrahimian said daily, 11 million cubic meters of gas were also injected to Shorije and Saraje storage reserves.
