China Welcome to Invest in Mini-LNG Plants: NIGEC

TEHRAN, May 16 (Shana) – Chinese companies are welcome to invest in construction of mini-Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plants in Iran, Managing director of National Iranian Gas Exports Company (NIGEC) Alireza Kameli said.

Speaking to Shana on Monday, he noted that ground is ready for investment of Chinese companies in Iran’s mini-LNG plants.

Iran has planned to diversify the ways for export of its gas by construction of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and LNG units there, the official added.

He said that Iran is ready to provide the LNG units with the required petrochemical feedstock sources.

Chinese companies have good experience in construction of small and medium-sized CNG and LNG plants, Kameli underlined.

He said that Iran is ready to sign medium and long-term contracts with Chinese companies for construction of mini-LNG plants and it is ready to provide them with the petrochemical feedstock sources they need.

All companies from across the world including the Europeans are welcome to invest in Iran’s LNG plant projects, the official added.
