During a meeting with Slovak Finance Minister Peter Kazimir in Tehran, Jahangiri underlined Iran's major oil and gas projects, saying, "Given its geographical status and economic potentialities, Iran can become a suitable target for investments, production and export of European industrial goods in the region and the EU."
He expressed satisfaction at the signature of two MoUs between Iran and Slovakia during Kazimir's stay in Tehran, saying that bigger steps should be taken for provision of a framework for cooperation of the private sector investors of the two countries like signing banking agreements.
Jahangiri said EU can become Iran's biggest trade partner once again, voicing Iran's willingness to boost ties with European countries in the fields of mining, industry, agriculture and renewable energies.
Kazimir, who headed a high-profile business delegation to Iran, said his country is ready to boost ties with Iran after JCPOA's implementation.
He also invited Jahangiri to visit Bratislava in the near future.
