Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said this increase in gas production would mean that Iran would have 44 bcm of more gas next calendar year to phase out liquid fuel.
He said National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) is currently receiving 600 mcm/d of gas, which is 100 mcm/d higher than a year ago.
Zangeneh said supply of liquid fuel, fuel oil and diesel fuel to power plants, industries and villages will decline in three years as more gas is being produced in the country.
