Speaking at a private-sector activists meeting, he said the decision would come into force at the end of current Iranian month of Mehr, on 22nd October.
He further said the ministry will take a final decision on 10 oil projects up to the end of 2014 which will open a large market before the investors.
He elaborated that the government prefers to transfer downstream projects to domestic and foreign private-sector activists and retain upstream activities under the control of the government.
Zanganeh continued he prefers upstream projects remain governmental because if the government decides to hand over upstream activities they are the other governmental sectors which will acquire them not the private sector.
He stated that long queues for CNG justifies setting up CNG fueling stations in mega cities adding Petroleum Ministry is in talks with Tehran municipality to set up 200 single pump stations around the city.
“Currently 480 thousand barrels of gas condensate are being produced in the country and the government has decided to build eight 60- thousand gas condensate refineries which enables private-sector activists to take part in refining activities based on a competitive environment” Zanganeh concluded.
