Speaking at a meeting with Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) Majid Chegeni, on the sidelines of the 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2024), Archaev noted that Iran enjoys an important place in the global gas industry.
“We also want to develop and strengthen ties with the Iranian side on the swap of energy, while in the field of techno-engineering services, Iranian companies can carry out some projects in Turkmenistan,” he stated.
In the meeting, Chegeni, referred to the long and constructive history of cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan in the gas industry, and said the development and strengthening of ties between the two sides in the gas industry will benefit both countries.
Referring to the remarkable potentials of the NIGC in various sectors of the gas industry, he added that his company is fully prepared to develop joint cooperation in various fields, including gas swaps and the export of technical and engineering services.
Iran will host the ministerial meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) this year, Chegeni announced adding that “We hope Turkmenistan, as an important country in the gas industry, will soon become a member of the forum. We will play a supporting role in this field as well.”
In addition to 1,500 Iranian firms, a sum of 250 companies from 12 countries have taken part in Iran Oil Show 2024, whose motto is “Petroleum industry, production leap and technological optimization”.
Participants from the upstream, intermediate and downstream sectors of the oil industry, along with associations and unions of oil industry equipment manufacturers, first-time producers NTBFs are showcasing their achievements in the Iran Oil Show 2024, which is the most important Iranian event related to the oil industry.
Inaugurated on Wednesday, the exhibition will be open to visitors at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground every day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (0530 to 1230 GMT) until Saturday.
