800 Million Euros Allocated To IOOC’s Installations Renovation, CEO

SHANA (Tehran) - With the assistance of NIOC’s board of directors and allocation of 800 million euros during the past 2.5 years of the 13th administration in office, the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) has been able to take appropriate steps to renovate its installations.

Managing director of IOOC, Alireza Mahdizadeh, made the remarks in an interview with Shana on sidelines of the 28th Iran Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition’s final day of activity on Saturday, adding, the main priority of the company during the incumbent government has been renovation and repairing its installation that had not been carried out over the past years due to various reasons.

He also said that the company has managed to provide financial needs for renovation of some installations and pipelines including renovation of a pipeline from Abuzar field to Khark and Abuzar and Ilam infield pipelines, renovation of the Salman gas transmission pipeline to Siri, renovation of Resalat platform and securing its wells, the overhaul of the Alvand rig, the overhaul of turbines, gas generators, heat exchangers, painting and the sandblasting of Salman platforms, as well as the Hengam platform and the Persian Gulf terminal.

“Some of these projects have been transferred for implementation to contractors while the others are in the process of transferring.” Alireza Mehdizadeh said.
