“We appreciate their cooperation during these challenging times,” said Majid Boujarzadeh during a visit to the SHANA news agency’s editorial office on Tuesday, Aug. 12, on the occasion of Journalist’s Day.
Boujarzadeh praised the efforts of journalists and media professionals, noting that during critical situations, various ministries, including the Oil Ministry, operated on a moment-to-moment basis. “In the 12-day imposed war, our colleagues at the Oil Ministry played an active role alongside other government bodies through effective presence and swift decision-making,” he said.
He added that the current operational model at the Oil Ministry is the result of years of hard work and solidarity. “In the past, there were many concerns, but fortunately, thanks to the continuous cooperation of all sectors—even during holidays and outside office hours—our colleagues have always been responsive, yielding positive outcomes.”
Boujarzadeh highlighted that one of the key initiatives pursued since last year was restoring the Oil Ministry’s role as a primary news source, which has been achieved through collective efforts. “Last year’s analyses in various areas, including fuel consumption optimization and public and institutional accountability, gradually strengthened this authority,” he stated.
He also stressed the importance of elevating specialized oil media, saying, “Media outlets that identify as oil-focused should stand significantly above others and solidify their position in the field of information dissemination.”
Concluding his remarks, Boujarzadeh told SHANA reporters: “I’m pleased to meet with you again and hope this collaboration continues. The oil industry has always valued media support, especially in critical times, and will continue to do so.”
