Parliament to hold energy supply meeting

SHANA (Tehran) – A virtual session of Iran’s Parliament will be held Sunday with the participation of the oil minister and a senior presidential official to discuss measures aimed at ensuring stable fuel supply and distribution across the country.

According to ICANA, Parliament Presidium spokesperson Abbas Goudarzi announced that the online meeting will be attended by Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Esmaeil Seqab-Esfahani, head of the Energy Optimization and Strategic Management Organization.

The session will focus on government policies and actions designed to strengthen the stability of the fuel supply and distribution chain, Goudarzi said.

He added that lawmakers and government officials will also explore ways to enhance coordination and cooperation in addressing public concerns and managing the country’s energy imbalance while minimizing pressure on society.

The meeting comes as authorities continue efforts to improve energy management and maintain reliable fuel supplies nationwide.
