Nasrollah Pejmanfar emphasized that conservation should not be viewed as a restrictive measure but as an act of active participation during a critical historical juncture. He described energy efficiency as both a national imperative and a fundamental social responsibility for every citizen.
“This issue must be addressed with the public transparently and honestly,” Pejmanfar said. “Experience has shown that the Iranian people provide significant support during critical moments when they are properly informed.”
He urged officials to communicate the current realities of the energy sector with both precision and optimism, highlighting the crucial role citizens play in managing the situation.
Pejmanfar also called on the media, particularly national broadcasters, to lead the charge. He noted that their primary responsibility during this period is to clearly explain the situation, educate the public on practical conservation techniques, and elevate energy efficiency to a mainstream conversation.
“If this path is followed correctly, we can witness the formation of a sustainable culture of energy consumption that will yield benefits far beyond our current circumstances,” Pejmanfar said.
