According to president.ir, Pezeshkian made the remarks Tuesday during a meeting with commanders and officials from Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.

He said military and defense institutions can play an effective role in reforming energy consumption patterns, expanding low-consumption infrastructure and increasing the use of renewable energy.

Pezeshkian added that wider adoption of renewable energy in buildings and facilities, lower energy use in equipment and improved consumption behavior could free up more resources for the industrial and production sectors and help ease some of the country’s economic challenges.

He emphasized that many energy-saving solutions do not require significant investment and can be implemented through cultural change, adjustments in daily behavior and improved management practices in households and government institutions.
