Governor general announces temporary 10-liter cut in fuel allowance

SHANA (Tehran) — The governor general of Tehran province announced a temporary reduction in the gasoline refueling limit, cutting the amount drivers can pump using personal fuel cards from 30 liters to 20 liters.

Mohammad-Sadeq Motamedian said the measure is short-term and will return to normal once conditions stabilize. He attributed the move to an attack by American and Zionist aggressors on several oil depots in Tehran and Alborz provinces.

Motamedian urged residents to refuel only when necessary, use their personal fuel cards, and refrain from requesting emergency station cards. He also encouraged owners of dual-fuel vehicles to use compressed natural gas instead of gasoline, noting that all CNG stations in Tehran and Alborz provinces are operating 24 hours a day.
