Ramezanali Sangdovini cited the inclusion of Article 46 in the Seventh Development Plan framework as one of the parliament’s actions. He said the most important subject of this article is energy consumption optimization, and expressed hope that establishing the Energy Optimization and Strategic Management Organization will help achieve the intended goals.
He noted that high consumption exists in most energy sectors, adding that optimization is a main solution for reducing energy intensity nationwide and should be prioritized within ministries. “We are pleased the Oil Ministry is pursuing this seriously,” he said.
Referring to contracts signed between provincial gas companies and contractor companies, the Energy Commission deputy chairman said he believes contractor gas companies can outline the path of energy optimization for the public. “Everyone should know how and with what difficulty energy reaches the consumer so they appreciate this blessing even more.”
Sangdovini emphasized that the Oil Ministry’s performance in supplying winter fuel, both last winter and now, has been very satisfactory, and that parliament appreciates these significant efforts.
