During an open session Monday (Feb. 16), members of the Parliament agreed to dedicate resources as part of their review of the expenditure tables in the draft national budget for the Iranian year 1405.

The approved provisions include:

1. A minimum of 50 trillion rials to be spent from the Oil and Gas Investment Account to launch and operate a comprehensive intelligent energy management system.

2. A minimum of 100 trillion rials from the same account for the development and expansion of infrastructure required for natural gas storage.
