Asadollah Cheraghi said the ministry’s measures to capture associated gas and flare gas were “noteworthy,” adding that such projects prevent the loss of national resources and represent a lasting effort to safeguard the country’s energy wealth.
He said accelerating flare gas collection not only generates employment opportunities but also leads to a significant reduction in environmental pollutants and improves air quality. Protecting the environment, he added, also supports higher value added through completion of the hydrocarbon product value chain.
The MP noted that final assessments of government bodies are conducted based on indicators set by the Plan and Budget Organization of Iran. By that measure, he said, associated gas collection and management ranked as the Oil Ministry’s most successful area in the first year of the development plan.
