According to a report from Pars Oil and Gas Company, CEO Hamid Bovard made the announcement during a visit to the South Pars region with Zabihollah Khodaeian, head of the country’s General Inspection Organization. In a meeting with senior managers of oil, gas, and petrochemical companies, Bovard thanked operational staff for their around-the-clock efforts.
"South Pars gas field extraction today has reached 727 million cubic meters, an unprecedented figure," he said.
Highlighting increased oil and gas production capacity, Bovard added, "Given the planned measures to secure new drilling rigs, we hope to guarantee the country's energy production for the coming years."
The deputy oil minister described NIOC's responsibility in the three areas of development, production, and sales, stating, "The oil sector is devotedly and sincerely serving the noble Iranian nation. We hope our ongoing efforts yield positive results and are seen favorably by the Iranian people."
Bovard also noted increased domestic gas consumption during cold days and urged all sectors, especially high-consumption ones, to conserve energy to help operational staff and ensure stable national energy supply.
Earlier Wednesday, during the inspection head’s visit, Bovard was at the control room of refineries for phases 20 and 21. He held a video call with the heads of operational and support centers for South Pars gas platforms in the Persian Gulf, offering words of encouragement.
