Consumption in the three sectors reached 655.71 million cubic meters on the first day of winter, reflecting a sharp rise in demand as temperatures fell, the company said.
Usage patterns show that the household and commercial sectors account for the largest share of gas consumption nationwide during the cold season, when demand typically increases. Other major consumers, including power plants and large industries, have taken a smaller share of delivered gas during this period.
The NIGC emphasized that effective demand management in the household and commercial sectors is critical to maintaining network stability and ensuring supply to other users. The company urged consumers to follow energy-saving practices to help sustain reliable gas delivery nationwide.
