Tenth well completed at Kish Gas Field

SHANA (Tehran) – The project manager for the Kish gas field development said operations to complete the 10th well in the project’s first phase have finished, enabling daily production capacity of 20 million cubic meters of gas.

According to Pars Oil and Gas Company, Abdollah Mehrabi said completion of the 10th well in Phase 1 of the Kish gas field development was carried out under the company’s oversight, in cooperation with National Iranian Drilling Company, and was completed successfully.

Mehrabi said that with the completion of Well No. 5 in the second onshore well cluster at the Kish gas field, drilling-related production capacity has risen to more than 700 million cubic feet per day — about 20 million cubic meters per day — nearly 70% of the output planned for this phase.

One of the country’s largest independent gas fields, Kish has significant potential to strengthen energy security and ensure a stable gas supply. Its development is expected to provide reliable support for meeting rising demand in the residential, industrial and power generation sectors.
