According to ICOFC, Ali Rezaei highlighted the company’s achievements, noting that its technical and operational efforts have enabled full implementation of production plans and ensured steady feedstock supply to gas refineries, industries and households.
Detailing some of these efforts, he said major overhauls were carried out at the Khangiran, Tabnak, Tang Bijar, Nar and Kangan gas fields. Remedial operations using coiled-tubing units, downhole logging and the provision of spare parts were also among the company’s most important activities this year.
Rezaei said the company also made progress in gas storage. Injection operations at the Shourijeh D and Sarajeh Qom fields began in April. Through measures such as following up on upstream repairs, reviewing and upgrading operating pressures — particularly at the Sarajeh field — and managing injection rates, the company set a record for the highest volume of gas stored so far this year.
Stable Output at the Khesht Field, With More Than 3m Barrels Produced
Rezaei said the Khesht oil field, which has five producing wells, has maintained stable, continuous production as part of its development plan. Since 2024, the field has produced 3.289 million barrels of crude oil. Installation and construction of the field’s desalting facilities are underway and scheduled to be completed by year-end. According to forecasts, the field’s current output is expected to increase by about 4,000 barrels once the facility comes online.
