According to NIOC, Hamid Bovard visited the Khesht and Konartakhteh field facilities on Monday to assess project progress, operational challenges and infrastructure needs.
During the visit, he noted the significant gap between the project’s progress and its original schedule, stressing that the work must continue based on revised planning, constant oversight and prompt resolution of unfinished sections.
After reviewing the ongoing development activities, Bovard said clear operational guidelines and timelines have been set for each part of the project — from completing the transmission line to commissioning processing facilities and related infrastructure.
Bovard added that implementing the new plan will enable independent transfer of crude produced at the Khesht field by the end of this year and help put the field’s development on track.
He also emphasized the company’s social responsibility in the region and instructed teams to identify urgent local needs and begin prioritized corrective and support measures.
