According to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), Sirous Aqajari, project manager, said on the sidelines of the meeting that in addition to reviewing the progress made on previous resolutions, three main topics were examined: supplying equipment for drilling rigs, reviewing and approving new project activities, and ensuring uninterrupted production in the fields.
The committee made several important decisions, including approving completed tenders, finalizing procurement and equipment supply processes, addressing change orders and necessary operational revisions, approving the contractor’s third-quarter invoice, and reviewing financial progress. The meeting also approved revisions to the organizational chart of the IFO operator to improve operational efficiency, examined contractor proposals to transfer new technologies and enhance domestic capabilities, and updated contracting strategies to match current project needs and operational conditions.
The 35th JMC meeting for the Aban and Paydar Gharb oil fields was attended by representatives of the National Iranian Oil Company, board members and senior managers of PEDEC, senior project experts, and the project’s main contractor.
The committee also reviewed reports on surface operations and project insurance status, assessing the latest technical conditions of both surface and subsurface activities. New resolutions were adopted to improve the process of obtaining insurance quotations for oil facilities in the fields and to reduce operational risks.
Aqajari said the outcomes of the meeting are expected to play a significant role in accelerating development and ensuring sustained production in the Aban and Paydar Gharb fields.
