Buyback Contract To Be Signed With Agip For Darkhowein Drilling

TEHRAN -- The drilling project on the wells in Darkhowein Oilfield will be done by Agip or Eni Iran BV (Eni SPA) on buyback basis. The oilfield is located 40 km northeast of Abadan on the west shore of Karun River.

Elsewhere, director of Onshore Operation 1 of National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) Mehran Makvandi stated that Darkhoweins well No. 19 has experienced full drilling and completion operation five days ahead of schedule. “The drilling has been implemented by gas injection method to the surface,” he added. The drilling on the well started on July 19 and it was completed on October 31 at the depth of 4,583 meters by the effort of Fath 54 Drilling Units experts in 105 days. PIN/MNA
