Speaking Tuesday, at a ceremony honoring former director-general of the minister’s office Kasra Nouri and introducing his successor, Jalal Mirzaei, Paknejad said Nouri has long been a trusted colleague and friend. The event was attended by several deputy ministers and chief executives of the Oil Ministry’s four main companies.
“Mr. Nouri showed exceptional capability and dedication during his tenure and played a significant role in advancing the ministry’s mission,” Paknejad said. “I sincerely thank him for his service and wish him continued success.”
The minister emphasized that every achievement in the Oil Ministry results from teamwork. “Success comes from collective effort, and that spirit is clearly visible across the ministry today,” he said.
Referring to progress in oil exports and sales over the past year, Paknejad described these accomplishments as a source of pride, adding that “remarkable success has also been achieved in increasing gasoline and diesel production.”
“The oil industry is the backbone of the country’s economic resilience and its passage through difficult times,” he said. “It stands on the front line of this effort.”
Paknejad also highlighted Mirzaei’s professional and academic background, noting his experience in university teaching, executive management, energy consulting, and lawmaking. “I wish him success in this important responsibility,” the minister added.
Focus on the Ministry’s Core Goals
Jalal Mirzaei, the new director-general of the minister’s office and an adviser to the minister, expressed gratitude for the minister’s trust. “In this role, I will do my utmost to streamline operations, enhance coordination, and ensure tasks are carried out effectively,” he said.
“Given the country’s challenging circumstances, I expect full cooperation and support from all colleagues to achieve the ministry’s objectives and fulfill its critical mission,” Mirzaei said. “We must stay focused on the ministry’s core goals and, through synergy and teamwork, help the country overcome its difficulties.”
Kasra Nouri, the outgoing director-general, also thanked the minister for his confidence and support, as well as all managers and colleagues for their cooperation during his tenure.
