According to the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Co., Keramat Veis-Karami said Sunday, Oct. 12, during a coordination meeting of the company’s public relations offices on winter fuel supply, that infrastructure development for fuel distribution and storage is underway, but consumption management requires cooperation among all government agencies.
He added that through consumption management measures, the country’s daily diesel consumption has decreased by over 3 million liters in the past six months, while storage at power plants exceeded 3.2 billion liters — marking a record high for power plant fuel reserves ahead of winter.
Veis-Karami also noted that during the 12-day imposed war, Iran set a record by distributing more than 200 million liters of gasoline per day amid relentless attacks by the Zionist regime on oil depots.
Fuel distribution a frontline operation
Majid Boujarzadeh, head of public relations at the Oil Ministry, emphasized that the public relations division of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Co. operates as an active, field-based department.
He said that during the summer, about 12.5 billion liters of gasoline were produced, loaded, and distributed nationwide via more than 15,000 tankers and pipelines — a figure he called remarkable.
Boujarzadeh added that these numbers reflect the vast scope and intensity of the company’s work, noting that during the peak of the Nowruz holidays, wartime periods, and the final weeks of September, employees of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Co. and its public relations staff worked tirelessly around the clock.
