Paknejad attends funeral for martyrs of national sovereignty

SHANA (Tehran) – Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad joined a large crowd of passionate, revolutionary citizens in Tehran on Saturday to pay tribute to the heroic martyrs and soldiers of the homeland.

Paknejad attended the solemn funeral ceremony for the victims of the Zionist regime’s terrorist attack in Tehran, honoring the martyrs’ sacrifice. The funeral was held on the second day of Muharram, with military and government officials, as well as citizens, in attendance.

Grateful and resilient Iranians bid farewell to the 60 martyrs of national sovereignty, including commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians killed in the attack.

From early morning, Enqelab Square was filled with mourners waving red flags bearing the phrase "Labbaik Ya Hussein" and carrying anti-Zionist flags as they honored the national heroes and defenders of the homeland.

On Thursday, Paknejad, alongside First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref, stated: "We must bow in respect to our noble people, our courageous armed forces, and our dedicated scientists who defended the nation against this brutal Zionist aggression at the cost of their lives."
