According to the NIDC, Hamidreza Shafiei Makvandi said the wells included four development-appraisal wells and 16 workover-completion wells.

Of the drilled wells, 16 were in oil fields operated by subsidiaries of the National Iranian South Oil Company, one in the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC)’s operational area, one for the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company, one for Pars Oil and Gas Company, and one as part of a completion and handover project for the client.

Shafiei Makvandi noted that total drilling footage reached 21,773 meters in the first two months of the year, marking a 1,619-meter increase compared to the same period last year.

He also reported the relocation of 12 drilling rigs from the company’s fleet to operational sites across the country.
