Jahangir Shojaei stated that these services encompassed more than 20 specialized operations, adding that plans for this year aim to deliver integrated support services with greater diversity, quantity, and quality.
He noted that last year, the specialized drilling division carried out 1,512 services, including logging, drilling fluid logging, well intervention, well completion, directional drilling, coring, and casing running—a 9.5% increase over the previous period.
Breaking down the services, Shojaei said:
- 898 services were provided to the National Iranian South Oil Company,
- 202 to the Central Oil Regions Company,
- 19 to the Iranian Offshore Oil Company,
- 29 to the exploration division of the National Iranian Oil Company, and
- 364 to ongoing drilling projects managed by the NIDC.
Regarding operational volume in specialized services, Shojaei explained:
- Logging services increased by 30%,
- Well intervention by 32%,
- Directional drilling by 25%,
- Coring by 25%, and
- Drilling fluid logging by 3%.
He added that drilling fluid logging operations are currently at full fleet capacity.
Shojaei credited the expansion to activating operational capacities with the help of knowledge-based companies, securing new contracts with clients, and upgrading directional drilling fleets with downhole motors.
In the technical services division, 4,751 operations were conducted in 1403, including extensive acidizing, cementing, injectivity testing, mobile workstring operations, drill stem testing, well casing, hanger installation, well productivity testing, air drilling, and underbalanced drilling—a 3% rise year-on-year.
Highlighting the ongoing modernization of technical service fleet equipment—such as high-pressure acid, nitrogen, and cement pumps—Shojaei praised the round-the-clock efforts of the staff. He expressed optimism that with upgraded tools and equipment, 1404 will see further growth in the volume and variety of services.
