Nasrollah Zarei made the remark on the sidelines of the second day of the 29th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, also known as Iran Oil Show 2025, adding, “The exhibition is an avenue for introducing opportunities and negotiating with domestic and foreign investors, particularly in a year focused on “investment for production” and following the event held on investment in oil industry.”
Zarei highlighted the need for the industry to accelerate development efforts by optimizing decision-making processes and eliminating unnecessary bureaucracy, noting, “Substantial groundwork have already been laid in this regard and we hope to witness improved performance outcomes.”
Referring to the effects of sanctions on the country’s economic activities, he said, “The country and its oil industry have remained resilient and the achievements demonstrate it. However, we welcome investors and high technology providers in this area.”
He stressed that Iran’s oil industry is open to international companies and that energy diplomacy should align with political diplomacy in driving national development.
“We hope that the discussions and exchange of opportunities and capabilities at this exhibition will pave the way for greater participation by companies and investors in the oil sector,” he stated.
Zarei emphasized, “We need to double development efforts in oil industry in order to achieve the goals of the Seventh Development Plan.
The 29th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, also known as Iran Oil Show 2025, kicked off on Thursday at Tehran International Permanent Fairground and will be open to visitors every day from 8:00 to 15:00 (0430 to 1130 GMT) until Sunday.
