Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar said Thursday during a visit to the two projects— Pishgaman-e Siraf (Pioneers of Sirif) and South Adish—that the plans have seen notable progress.
He reported that the physical progress of the Pioneers of Sirif petro-refinery project exceeds 62%, adding that the first phase is projected to become operational by the first half of next year.
The CEO also noted that the South Adish refinery is 93% complete, with plans to begin operations in the first half of this year.
Azimifar emphasized that necessary decisions will be made to accelerate project execution and resolve obstacles as quickly as possible.
He expressed hope that, through synergy between the government and the private sector, effective steps will be taken during the "Year of Investment for Production" to expand refining capacity and develop the country's refining industry.
