Gholamabbas Hosseini said during the weekly production meeting on Tuesday that the major maintenance phase at the country’s largest gas production facility has begun with full readiness of staff and experts.
He stressed that key safety programs must be meticulously implemented throughout the maintenance period.
Hosseini highlighted training as a critical requirement for the overhaul of the complex’s 13 refineries, adding that safety should be treated as a core value to ensure high-quality, incident-free operations.
The CEO noted that protecting personnel and preserving equipment and facilities are top priorities at South Pars, achievable only through strict adherence to safety protocols.
Hosseini also pointed to enhanced monitoring of safety equipment and operations during the maintenance period, stating that every step toward improved safety helps prevent accidents and ensures effective crisis management.
