Ali Ahmadi highlighted the refinery’s strong performance in 1403, noting that despite challenges, South Pars refineries surpassed commitments and played a key role in boosting Iran’s economy.
He said the first refinery achieved this milestone through continuous efforts, monitoring, and improvement projects, marking a 5% increase over its annual production target and a 9% rise compared to 1402 (2023-24).
Ahmadi added that the refinery also produced over 7.26 million barrels of gas condensates, more than 34,000 metric tons of granulated sulfur, and over 373,000 liters of natural gas odorant in 1403, using 100% domestically sourced materials.
The refinery also optimized fuel consumption, cutting gas usage by 16% below permitted levels, improving efficiency and reducing operational costs.
During the unusually cold winter of 1403, Ahmadi said refinery staff worked tirelessly to ensure record gas production and distribution, securing steady supply for households and businesses.
