NGL 3100 Project: A key step in reducing gas flaring

SHANA (Tehran) – A coordination meeting for the launch of the Dehloran Petro-Refining Project (NGL 3100) was held with the participation of senior oil industry representatives in the Cheshmeh-Khosh operational area, marking a significant step toward transforming associated gas management and promoting sustainable development.

The coordination meeting for the Dehloran Petro-Refining Project took place on Monday (March 10) with representatives from the National Iranian Oil Company’s Integrated Planning Department, Central Oil Regions Company, Oil Engineering and Development Company, West Oil and Gas Company, Production Supervision Department, Russia’s ZNV Company, and Dehloran Petro-Refining Company. The gathering aimed to review various aspects of the project and accelerate its implementation.

The NGL 3100 Dehloran Project, focused on the collection and processing of associated petroleum gas, is set to play a crucial role in reducing gas flaring, supplying feedstock for downstream industries, completing the value chain, and improving the region’s environmental conditions. The extinguishing of flares at processing facilities is a key achievement of this initiative, designed to meet both environmental and economic goals.

During the meeting, topics such as project phasing, technical and operational challenges, strengthening technical and managerial collaboration, and precise timelines for the launch were discussed. Attendees emphasized the need for cross-sector coordination and expediting the implementation of this national project to ensure it becomes operational on schedule.

The Dehloran Petro-Refining Project is not only a significant step toward the sustainable development of Iran’s oil and gas industry but also promises a greener future for the region by reducing environmental pollution and optimizing gas resource management.
