Mohsen Attarzadeh emphasized the refinery's reliance on national capabilities and local talent to drive the country's economic growth. He stated that since the beginning of this year, South Pars Refinery 2 has achieved self-sufficiency in supplying strategic equipment by utilizing 100% domestically produced goods, eliminating the need for foreign products.
Attarzadeh added that through meticulous planning and identifying the needs of refinery units, more than 400 strategic parts and equipment have been localized. These are primarily used in the fields of electricity, instrumentation, mechanics, and chemical materials.
Highlighting some of the localized achievements, the refinery manager noted that components such as electric motors, gaskets, flanges, high-voltage switches, and various electrical and instrumentation parts have been produced by domestic experts and are now in use at South Pars Refinery 2.
Attarzadeh credited these successes to the skilled and efficient workforce within the Ministry of Oil and the country, describing it as a significant milestone for the nation's largest gas complex.
He emphasized that this achievement plays a crucial role in reducing dependency on foreign imports.
