Located in Kangan, the southwestern province of Bushehr, the 100,000-ton private dock in South Pars has begun operations by accommodating and loading the largest vessel designed to transport warm and pressurized liquid gas in the shortest possible time, adhering to the highest standards of safety.
The dock, now operational in Kangan, was inaugurated under the supervision of representatives from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, the Ports and Maritime Organization, the National Iranian Gas Company, and the special representative of the oil minister overseeing exports.
Constructed two years ago, the dock received its operational permit with the support of the 13th administration, the Ministry of Oil, the Ports and Maritime Organization, and the country’s customs offices. It is now the first private sector dock to begin operations in the South Pars region.
With its official opening, the dock is expected to increase warm liquid gas exports by up to 50% and handle up to 3 million tons of cold gas annually at the dolphin-type dock.
