Deputy oil minister visits key gas projects in eastern Iran

SHANA (Tehran) – Hamid Bovard, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, conducted a comprehensive visit to major gas projects in eastern Iran.

His agenda included inspections of the Tous Gas Field, Fat’h Rig 91, the CMF measurement center, and wells 47 and 85 in Khangiran.

The deputy minister also participated in a specialized meeting to review production and development plans for the East Oil and Gas Company.

 Focus on production capacity, stability

During the one-day visit on Saturday to the Khangiran operational area, Bovard emphasized the importance of increasing production capacity and ensuring the stability of gas supplies in eastern Iran.

Accompanied by Farrokh Alikhani, the company’s director of oil and gas production oversight, and other officials, Bovard began the visit by inspecting the Tous Gas Field.

The purpose was to evaluate development progress and assess related projects aimed at enhancing the nation’s gas production capacity.

Inspection of Fat’h Rig 91

Bovard and his team also toured Fath Rig 91, operated by the National Iranian Drilling Company at the Tous Gas Field.

The visit focused on assessing drilling operations and monitoring project progress in the field.

 Visit to CMF Measurement Center

The delegation then visited the CMF measurement center of the East Oil and Gas Production Company to examine measurement processes and evaluate the accuracy of gas production systems.

The CMF center plays a critical role in production operations by precisely measuring key parameters such as output levels, pressure, temperature, and product quality.

These accurate and real-time metrics contribute to optimized production management, system safety, and strategic decision-making.

Inspections of Wells 47 and 85 in Khangiran

Bovard’s itinerary included a visit to Well 47 in the Khangiran Gas Field to assess its production status and operational efficiency.

Additionally, he inspected Well 85, which recently began production after intensive efforts. Currently producing over 1 million cubic meters of gas daily, Well 85 plays a vital role in meeting this winter’s gas demand.

During his visit, Bovard reviewed the well’s performance and expressed appreciation for the efforts invested in bringing it online.

Strategic meeting on production, development

The visit concluded with a meeting focused on reviewing production and development strategies at the East Oil and Gas Operating Company.

Bovard and senior managers discussed measures to enhance production and improve operational processes to further strengthen the region’s gas infrastructure.
