Ahmad Mohammadi made the comments on Tuesday during the launch of center for Wells Reservoir and Facility Management (WRFM).
He noted that the center was established and became operational in less than a year due to effective planning.
"With this center, we can monitor real-time information on wells and reservoirs, and the oil industry must embrace the idea of making decisions based on real-time data," the official said.
He added that the initial development plan for the Sepehr and Jofeir fields was production-oriented. The first phase aimed for a daily production target of 36,000 barrels, but it has already reached approximately 40,000 barrels, and the current production exceeds 50,000 barrels per day.
Mohammadi expressed optimism that the goal of increasing daily production by 30,000 barrels next year could be achieved, stating, "Ultimately, the barrels of oil produced will reflect our progress toward developmental objectives."
He explained that to achieve this increase in production, an investment of $15,000 to $25,000 per additional barrel would be necessary.
"With a 30,000-barrel increase in production next year, we can expect the second phase of development for the Sepehr and Jofeir fields to be completed two years ahead of schedule, raising the production capacity to 110,000 barrels per day," the official added.
