On Monday, during a media visit of the South Pars Gas Complex, Masoud Zanganeh stated that the eight centralized reservoirs in South Pars have a nominal storage capacity of 640,000 cubic meters, equivalent to 4 million barrels.
He added that 450,000 barrels of gas condensate are sent daily to the Persian Gulf Gas Condensate Refinery, while 120,000 barrels are sent to the Nouri Petrochemical Plant.
Highlighting that 70% of the country’s gasoline is currently produced by the
Persian Gulf Star Oil Company, Zanganeh noted that the gas condensate storage facilities in South Pars are equipped with two measurement stations at the reservoir inlet and two at the outlet, which monitor both the quantity and quality of the condensates.
The official also mentioned that the gas condensate storage facilities in South Pars are connected to floating buoys for exports.
He reported that short-term plans for expanding these facilities have nearly been completed, and long-term projects are expected to be finalized by the end of 2025.
The official expressed optimism that these initiatives would enhance gas condensate storage capabilities in Asaluyeh.
Zanganeh further explained that the South Pars refineries stretch approximately 100 kilometers, spanning from the Bidkhun region to Kangan. These 13 gas refineries are managed across two operational sites, known as sites 1 and 2.
