Ali-Asghar Navaei reported a significant increase in gas consumption following the recent cold snap and drop in temperatures. He stated, “On Sunday, nearly 112 million cubic meters of gas were consumed in Tehran Province, setting a new record.”
Emphasizing the importance of saving energy, Navaei recommended that residents take simple steps such as setting home temperatures to 18-21 degrees Celsius, wearing warm clothing, and using thick curtains to conserve energy effectively.
The spokesperson also called on residents to participate in the “Two Degrees Lower” campaign by reducing their home temperatures by 2 degrees.
Navaei added, “By following these simple guidelines, citizens can contribute to managing gas consumption, ensuring that fellow Iranians in colder regions can also benefit from this natural resource.”
