Citing Article 124 of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s constitution, the 9th president of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian said: Given your competencies, invaluable management and executive experiences, you are appointed as the first vice president of the 14th administration.
The move came after the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, endorsed Masoud Pezeshkian as the 9th president of Iran this morning.
Masoud Pezeshkian's presidency came into effect today under Article 110 of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s constitution during a ceremony held in Tehran in which the head of the Leader's Office read out the text of a decree in which the Supreme Leader approved the vote of the people to Masoud Pezeshkian as the new president.
During the second round of Iran’s snap presidential election on July 5, the presidential candidate, Masoud Pezeshkian, managed to acquire the majority of votes, 16.384.403 votes out of a total of 30,530,157 votes.
