Raeisi urges specialized working group formation to redress energy imbalance

SHANA (Tehran) – Iran’s President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi on Wednesday assigned the oil and energy minister to form specialized working groups to redress energy imbalance.

Speaking in a weekly cabinet session, the president issued the order a day after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, in his meeting with businessmen and manufacturers, said imbalance in water, fuel, electricity, and other sectors hinders big plans.

Raeisi urged ministers to follow up the Leader’s guidelines and put them into action.

Pointing to Ayatollah Khamenei’s concern about obstacles in the way of production, the president said the Leader’s Office and the First Vice President’s Office have prepared a report on reviewing the barriers to the development of production and the improvement of businesses.

Based on the report, some of the obstacles have been overcome, said Raeisi, assigning the first vice president and economy minister to devise accurate plans for removing the remaining obstacles.
