Jafar Salari-Nassab added online services will likely resume by Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, Oil Minister Javad Owji visited some gas stations in Tehran after the software problem disrupted services.
“The oil industry experienced a similar disruption to the country’s fuel system caused by enemies in 2021,” recalled Owji.
Pilot test
The National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) managing director said the pilot test of online supply was done in a gas station.
Jalil Salari added NIORDC and the Civil Defense Organization are cooperating to fix the problem caused in 60 percent of the country’s gas stations.
According to him, around 150 filling stations are fixed manually every 10 minutes.
