The DHT Unit’s current production capacity is 16 million liters of Euro 5 diesel a day.
The unit’s operation helps prevent the emission of 300 tons of sulfur per day and lower sulfur of fuel to 10 ppm.
It also enhances Isfahan Refinery’s gas oil competitiveness in international markets.
Due to sanctions and foreign companies’ refusal to cooperate with Iran, the project’s detail engineering services, which are considered as one of the most complicated and difficult parts of its executive operations, were provided by domestic companies, namely Nargan, Chagalesh Consulting Engineers, and MAPNA Group.
The trio has manufactured around 80 percent of equipment needed for implementing the project.
Last month, Isfahan Oil Refinery Managing Director Mohsen Qadiri announced that the project had made 97 progress and would become operational 16 months earlier than due time.
