17th IranPlast International Exhibition opens

SHANA (Tehran) – The 17th International Exhibition of Plastics, Rubber, Machinery and Equipment, commonly known as IranPlast International Exhibition, kicked off here on Sunday.

Aiming to complete the value chain, support the national production, and promote the manufacture of Iranian products, the 17th IranPlast International Exhibition opened at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground in the presence of Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji, National Petrochemical Company Managing Director Morteza Shahmirzaei, Deputy Oil Minister for Planning Houshang Falahatian, Deputy Oil Minister for Management and Human Resources Development​ Mehdi Ali-Madadi, Deputy Oil Minister for Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Shojaeddin Bazargani, Deputy Oil Minister for Supervision on Hydrocarbon Resources Sajjad Khalili, and a number of ambassadors, lawmakers, and senior oil and petrochemical managers.

According to Farid Dousti, exhibition director, 560 domestic and 210 foreign companies have participated in the exhibition, which will run through September 20.

He said six contracts and at least 10 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) will be inked during the international event.

In addition, the director continued, several contracts and MoUs will be signed with Iran’s Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI).

The 17th edition of IranPlast International Exhibition will also include 20 expert-level sessions as well as training and specialized workshops, he mentioned.
