Director of International Affairs Department of the National Iranian Oil Company told Petroenergy Information Network that when talking about crude oil market, we must note that there are various types of crude oil in the world. Hojjatollah Ghanimifard added that when a new crude variety is introduced to the market, samples are sent for refineries. “Since marketing for Soroush crude has been carried out a while ago, it enjoys better conditions compared to crude produced by Norouz oil field,” he noted. Ghanimifard stated that samples of crude oil produced by Norouz oil field has been sent to refineries and expressed hope that the existing problem, which seems to be due to heaviness of the fields crude will be soon solved.
