
TEHRAN – The first unit of a refinery built for Amak project (which aims at collecting associated gas) has become operational.
Official in charge of the project, Mohammad Bijanfar, told Petroenergy Information Network that associated gas from Mansouri oil field will reach the refinery during early days of the next Iranian year, adding, “Some 52 million cu. ft. (1.5 million cu. m.) Natural gas will reach the first unit.”
He added that the first unit of Amak projects refinery is capable of processing 110 million cu. ft. (3.115 million cu. m.) sour gas.
The project for collecting associated gas from Bangestan group of oil fields including Ab Teimur, Maroun, Mansouri, Ahvaz, and Kupal will be delivered to the National Iranian South Oil Company after completion.
