The opening ceremony of Iran Oil Show 2023 and the great participation of local and international companies show Iran’s power in oil and gas areas, Zohreh Elahian said, adding, “Now, oil industry is a capacity for the country’s economic diplomacy.”

Some are convinced that there is no alternative but nuclear negotiations, she said, adding, “But the great capabilities in various areas, oil industry in particular, show that we will undoubtedly make the sanctions ineffective if we identify the capacities.”

On increasing the output of oilfields, providing the infrastructure and supporting knowledge-based companies, she said, “There needs to be a ground for cooperation of private sector in oil industry. We can remove the obstacles private sector is facing and use their capacity to develop and improve the country.”

The Parliament believes that oil industry infrastructure needs to be strengthened, she said, vowing that the legislative body will support the industry when it comes to the approval of the budget.

The 27th Iran International Oil, Gas, ‎Refining and ‎Petrochemical Exhibition, also ‎known as Iran Oil Show 2023, kicked off in a ceremony in the ‎Iranian capital Tehran on Wednesday.‎

The exhibition will be open to visitors every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (0530 to 1330 GMT) until Saturday. ‎
