According to the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, Alireza Bayat on Thursday highlighted the upcoming Nowruz holidays and the anticipated influx of travelers to northern Iran, particularly to Mazandaran and Golestan provinces.
He noted that the northern region's oil transportation industry has made appropriate arrangements to meet the fuel needs of residents and travelers during the New Year holidays.
Bayat added that during the Nowruz period of 1403 (2024), over 428 million liters of various petroleum products were transferred to Mazandaran and Golestan provinces for storage at distribution depots in Sari, Gorgan, and Gonbad.
He emphasized that necessary measures are being taken to ensure the supply of fuel for residents, travelers, and industries in these two provinces ahead of the upcoming holidays.
Referring to the fuel supply conditions in the region, Bayat explained that the transportation of required petroleum products is made possible through the efforts of staff at seven oil transfer centers, utilizing more than 400 kilometers of oil pipelines and 19 industrial telecommunications stations.
Bayat also mentioned the recent reinforcement and continuous upgrading of specialized equipment at oil transfer centers, pressure regulators, and oil facilities.
He assured that his colleagues will remain on full alert until the end of the Nowruz holidays.
