NISOC Output to hit 3.28 mbd by 2027

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) said the company is planning to bring its daily production capacity to 3.28 million cubic meters by the next 5 years.

Alireza Daneshi stated today (Wednesday, November 9) on the second day of the first national conference on increasing the productivity of oil and gas wells, that NISOC is responsible for the production of about 80% of the country's crude oil and 16% of natural gas.

“The scope of our activities in five subsidiary companies is in the geographical area of ​​400,000 square kilometers in seven provinces of the country,” he said.

He pointed to 222 huge facilities in the areas operated by NISOC, and added: “This company has about 48 production units, 22 desalination units, 17 liquefied gas plants, 30,000 kilometers of oil and gas pipelines, 39 gathering stations, 11 gas injection stations, 3 pumping stations and about 3,300 wells, more than 2,500 of which being productive.”

Daneshi said about the next five-year plan of NISOC: “We will work on 254 development wells and repair 546 existing wells, and in total we will work on 802 wells and repair 4600 wells in this scheme.”

He added: “Through these activities, we will obtain about 1,860,000 barrels per day, of which 347,000 barrels will improve our daily production capacity. Our goal for the next five years is to reach about 3.28 million barrels per day.”
