Iran sees 580% Growth in 4-Month Oil Income

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance announced that Iran’s revenue collection has increased by 580% from the sale of oil and gas condensates in the first 4 months of the current calendar year, which began on March 21.

According to IRNA, Seyyed Ehsan Khandouzi stated in a press conference on Tuesday, that, "Due to the increase in oil exports and our new budget's currency conversion rate, we saw a 580% increase in the treasury's income from the export of oil and condensate in the first four months of this year."

He announced a 48% increase in the income of the budget resources compared to the same period last year and a 16% rise in expenses, and said: “The government was focused on this issue to be able to earn more stable income. This means that compensating the budget deficit was on the agenda of the government and it was realized in the first 4 months of this year.”
