Iran Slowly Boosting Oil Sales: MP

TEHRAN (Shana) -- A member of the Energy Committee of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: "Iran is slowly increasing oil sales and with the plans made, we can hope for more exports."

Speaking to Shana, Seyyed Musa Mousavi said that in the past few months Iran has witnessed an increase in sales and exports of its oil, adding: “Although the Iranian oil industry is facing sanctions, we are witnessing an increase in sales and exports of oil.”

He added: "With the plans of the Ministry of Petroleum and the existing tactics, we can increase oil exports and sales even more, this issue can solve some of the country's economic problems."

The member of the Energy Committee of the Majles also underlined the issue of oil bartering, and noted: “To finance completion of projects, a solution must be worked out, so using the capacity of the private sector and foreign investors is one of the ways to bankroll the country's development projects.”
